Terro ant killer comes in several different forms. There is a spray, a liquid, granules and a bait box. Terro ant killer will kill any and all ants, but sometimes, it takes different tactics to kill different species.

The one thing that is common to all eliminations is the destruction of the queen ant or queen ants and the reproductives which can take her place. No ants nest or colony will survive long without its queen.

Therefore, the first thing to do is find the nest or nests. Some species, such as carpenter ants have satellite nest, which you will also have to discover. Then give them a squirt of Terro ant killer on a piece of glass or even sticky tape. Terro ant killer contains sugar, so they will swarm around it and take it home to the nest. Follow them back and mark the nest. The next day, put some Terro ant killer on glass again right near the nest. Keep feeding them for as long as it says on the label.

If you see piles of dead ants outside the nest, that is a good sign, but it means that there are still workers alive to clean out the nest, so you have to keep feeding the Terro ant killer, until all signs of ant movement are no more.
